Not just Georgia - there are a couple folks in Texas in the hospital who were apparently affected. (The stuff ships all over the nation).
Like I told my classes this morning - I'm not too sure I'm pleased to learn that the same facility that makes canned chili also makes dog food!
Every time I hear a story like this, it makes me want to stop eating. Or at least only eat stuff that I know exactly where it came from and how it came to be produced.
Crap...Kroger's stuff is affected, and Meijers' (Krogers is an Ohio-based chain, and Meijers is Michigan). And Steak and Shake - I suppose that's the "chili size" they serve on their dogs.
(I don't really trust canned meat anyway; I've heard too many horror stories of people sickening and dying in the "olden days" from it to even trust the modern industrial stuff)
